- (a) Like the other three houses, Blacker was closed in the spring of 1943 and was occupied by the Navy program for the remainder of the war. The first official meeting after the war took place on Mar.5, 1946.
- (b) F. Chandler Ingalls was drowned while swimming in Feb. 1939. Legend has it that he and others were participating in a swimming race and that he struck his head on a rock. He was removed from the water but died of an injury to his head. Joe Manildi, the vice-president, became president and was reelected for the following year.
- (c) Guy Jackson, who was elected on Feb.27, 1964, was married in the summer of 1964 and so the vice-president, Robert Sweet, became president for the remainder of that year.
- (d) Lee Johnson, who was elected President prior to the third term of 1967, moved off campus during the summer of 1967, so the Vice-President, Ken Kamm, became president for the remainder of that year.
