FOREIGN RECORDS

The following information on an emigrant family from genealogy.com. Robert Artt, born about 1792 in Cookstown, County Tyrone, (father William Artt, mother Jane Purvis) left Ireland with his wife, five children and a housekeeper, Jane, in 1840. Their ship, the 520-ton ``Barque Georgianna'', left Liverpool on Oct.4, 1840, and arrived in Melbourne on Feb.25, 1841. Shipping records show 6 children. [Information from Geoffrey Quick.]
